We don’t recommend washing your wool cap the same way you would other caps. Wool naturally resists odors and stains, so it usually doesn’t need regular washing.
However, to extend its lifespan, it's important to care for it properly. Below, we've compiled some tips to help you take care of your wool cap:
- After use in wet or bad weather, simply let your cap air out
- For dirt or minor stains, gently wipe the area with a clean, damp cloth as soon as possible
- Stubborn stains—especially from sweat or chlorinated water—can be permanent if not treated quickly, so prompt cleaning is important. If the stain persists, take the cap to a professional cleaner
- To remove odors, hang the cap in fresh air for a few days
Note: Never machine wash your wool cap.
